This is our "little" dog, Hector (60 lbs), sitting atop our big dog, Neffie.  Hector's been doing that since he was a puppy, and Neffie has always just let him. We lost Neffie last spring due to old age and severe arthritis. We now have a new dog (see right), and Hector is the "big" dog.
Zoey really should learn how to think outside the box. (Ignore the mess.)

Kate McLachlan
award winning author of lesbian fiction
I live in Eastern Washington with my wife, two dogs, and two cats. After teaching in the public schools for 14 years, I developed a case of temporary insanity and entered law school. All I really wanted to do was write stories but, despite the common misperception, legal briefs are not fiction, and my creative urge was not satisfied by my day job. I write fiction for the joy it brings me and for the joy I hope it brings others.

We enjoy traveling and indulging our guilty pleasure at the local Indian casino. We're also great fans of women's basketball and look forward all year to the college basketball season.  Go ZAGS!
Stella and Linus don't like each other a bit.
Tonie and me at the Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska. If you haven't had a chance yet to visit the glaciers, go! They won't be around forever.
